Opening is not checking
The link opened — that is only the beginning. Check what actually arrived before you treat it as the destination.
Page identity
Read the title and the page name. A page that changed its title is not the same source you expected.
Visible options
Note what is selectable now — the colors, sizes, versions, and quantities that are actually shown.
Context change
If the page no longer matches the category or the sheet cue, the context changed. Record the difference.
Redirects
If the link landed somewhere other than expected, note the real destination rather than the remembered one.
?Open item: has the real destination been recorded, or only the remembered one?
A worked check
- Link: points to a bag page.
- Arrived: a bag page with a different title.
- Recorded: the new title and the visible options.
