Crossing changes what you can see

The row reference is on the near bank; the destination page is on the far bank. When you cross over, you stop reading clues and start reading the page itself. Re-confirm each field there.

Title

Check that the page is still called what the row said. A changed title is the first sign the destination may differ.

Options

Re-read the color, size, and version on the page. They can differ from the row's note.

Images

Look at what the page actually shows. It may not match the image reference you carried forward.

Stock

Confirm whether the option is still available. Availability changes on the destination, not the row.

Price

Read the price in its current context. The row's price is not the page's price.

Policy

Check the terms on the page. Shipping, returns, and other policy can change independently of everything else.

Bank noteNothing is carried across the crossing as guaranteed. Visible here becomes re-check there.

A worked crossing

  1. Title: re-read and unchanged.
  2. Options: the size noted is present.
  3. Images: the page shows the same item.
  4. Stock / price / policy: each re-confirmed on the page.
