Similar is a clue, not a match

When two rows look alike, that is where the work begins, not where it ends. Compare them by hand before deciding anything.

What to compare

Three outcomes

Possible duplicate

The rows point to the same page with matching specs. Note it as possible, and confirm on the page.

Possible different

The rows diverge on URL, specs, or notes. Note the difference rather than forcing a match.

Still unconfirmable

The evidence is not enough either way. Leave it open and move on.

Duplicate clueA repeated title or image does not prove the rows are the same product, different sellers, duplicate records, or different versions.
?Open item: is any pair being labeled a duplicate without a side-by-side comparison?

A worked comparison

  1. Title: two rows share the same name.
  2. URL: they open different pages.
  3. Outcome: possible different — left open, not merged.

Research example — not a live listing or verification result.
