Needs outlast signals
Popularity language changes fast; your need does not. Hold the need steady before, during, and after you browse, so a label never replaces the reason you are looking.
Category
Fix the category first. An item that is trending in the wrong category is still the wrong category.
Use
State what the item is for. The use is the anchor every other field is checked against.
Necessary options
List the color, size, version, material, and quantity you actually need. These are stable requirements, not signals.
Open conditions
Keep whatever still needs confirmation as an open condition. Do not let a hot label close a question for you.
A worked hold
- Category: a crossbody bag.
- Use: daily carry.
- Options: black, medium, single item.
- Open condition: the material is unstated.
- Result: the need stays fixed while the label is set aside.
Teaching composition — not trend data, verification, or a saved preference.
